A pancake or blanking dies are a tool for creating repeatable and consistent metal shapes. They are ideal for use with a hydraulic press to make multiple parts for earring, necklaces, pendant and other jewelry. They can also be used with a bench block (to protect the die) and a brass mallet if you don’t have a hydraulic press.
These dies eliminate the tedium of laying out and sawing mutable parts, reducing the time you spend and making your finished work more profitable.
This series of dies are intended for use tin 18ga - 20ga non-ferrous material. Thinner material may get jammed in the die. Ferrous material with damage the die.
